    About the Book

    Edit

This show of watercolours by artist Pat Stanley explores the endurance and ever-changing beauty of the natural world. The scenes range from Newfoundland’s rugged coast to the shoreline of Lake Ontario, with a focus on the intersection of water and rock, sunlight and shadow, land and sky.

In Pat’s words, “If I am able to draw from the viewer a recognition of the intricate textures of water, ice and rocks, the lonely distances of a shoreline or landscape, and the survival of nature in the face of all obstacles, then my work is successful.”
