About the Book
The Art(s) of Slow Cinema magazine combines interviews with directors, essays and creative responses to slow films from around the world. The magazine contains a beautiful essay written by filmmaker Scott Barley, an interview with Meltse Van Coillie and Harm Dems about their film "elephantfish" (award for Best Film at the Slow Film Festival 2019), an essay on Chantal Akerman and her "slandered landscapes" by Michäel Van Remoortere, an interview with director and cinematographer Fred Kelemen, a festival report from Lateral Film Festival and a creative response to Hesam Rahmani's excellent short film "Faces without Visage".
