This is a seemingly random set of photographs taken in the popular Welsh seaside town of Barmouth during the summer of 2019, although there is a theme that ties them together. The project is one that could be carried out anywhere that has a place name, assuming that the place name appears on something such as signs, posters, buildings, vehicles, clothing etc in or around that place. Why photograph places in this way? Is it a full and complete record? Does the project reveal something deeper about the town, its residents and its visitors? Should this book/project exist? Are there any palm trees in Barmouth?
