About the Book
Whether by evolution or God, every organism shows design in its anatomy and physiology. Insectan Design aims to explore these aspects in a way that highlights such intricacies in the class, Insecta. In my experience as an entomologist, I have noticed that, not surprisingly, few people care for insects. It often seems that this negativity keeps people from taking a closer look, and thus, they miss out on something amazing. There are plenty of reasons to pay attention to these animals such as their importance in our economy and their well-known role as pollinators, but even being essential to our survival, insects are often overlooked. My intent in this series is to share a surface level perspective of the diverse world I witness as an entomologist and to hopefully spark an appreciation for insects in my audience.
