About the Book
This catalog documents PINKPROGRESSION’S 2020 exhibit “Coalesce” at McNichols Civic Center Building in Denver, CO. Eighteen notable local creatives incorporate a fusion of narratives through collaborative artwork. This collective process utilizes the power of networks to inspire social change influenced by over a century of suffrage movements. Themes of inclusivity, equality, and gender identity are interwoven into mixed media approaches. These multidimensional works emphasize the collective issues that confront us and the transformational ways of finding common ground. The catalog includes Author and Professor of Women and Gender Studies Lorraine Bayard De Volo’s essay, “An Intersectional Celebration of the 19th Amendment.” The cover design is by Judy Anderson featuring a detail of Fertile Rhthym by Tiffany Matheson, Scottie Burgess, and Robin Hextrum.
