The debut book of Siobhan Donaldson, a non-binary photographer under state quarantine. Focusing on ideas of self, presentation, and emotional connections to color- they put together this book as a introduction to their ‘palette of references.’ Constructed over three months, each photo was taken with items and/or props on hand, with efforts to match the feelings each color invokes. ‘Life and Times of the Orange Eaters’ draws upon the idea of falling just short of first place: that no matter how hard you try, you will never make a place that you truly belong to.
