About the Book
Writing poetry was always a way for me to express myself and also a sense of release. We have all experienced our first crush, our first heartache and our first loss. Writing was my way of dealing with all of these emotions. When I’m writing I'm releasing all the thoughts in my head that I can’t say verbally and putting it out into the universe. My pen and paper were always by my side, they were my councillors, my only way of dealing with sadness and just someone to talk to. The following are poems I wrote as a young girl just trying to make it through another day and hoping that someone was listening.
