About the Book
The Lake District of northern Patagonia extends from Puerto Varas, Chile on the west to San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina on the east and up to San Martin de los Andes in the north.
The area is known for its active volcanos, its beautiful lakes and its wild streams. Its also know for its wind and its rain.
For eight days in late December 2006 and early January 2007 we traversed this area by bike and boat. As you will see the scenery was spectacular, the riding outstanding and the people wonderful.
This is most definitely a place to spend a part of your life - even if it is only a small part.
