About the Book
As a small child, each summer I would travel to Longview, Texas with my grandparents to visit family. One day during each trip, my granddaddy would take me to the Longview depot on the Texas and Pacific to watch the trains. With our Whataburger in hand, we would sit on the tailgate and watch the trains work and rumble by. Decades later I bought a camera and on the way home, I noticed a train headlight in the distance. I threw some film in the camera, and with those few clicks, a love of trains was reborn.
This book will take you on the beginning of my journey as a railroad photographer with images from my early years between 2003-2014.
