About the Book
Anilao is one of the best locations for underwater macro photography in the world. The book includes only a glimpse of the critters found in this location in the Philippines. It includes exquisitely colored nudibranchs and tiny pygmy seahorses. Exotic hairy frogfish were abundant along with ghost pipefish, flamboyant cuttlefish, and blue ring octopus. Most of the subjects are miniature. Specialized optics were required to capture many of the photographs underwater. This book captures many of the micro environments found on the coral reefs in Anilao.

I began underwater photography using an old Nikonos-V film camera more than 20 years ago. While very simple, this system allowed me to share photos of rare and exotic sea creature found all over the world. The limitations of film became very apparent by the 2000's and I switched to digital. Digital photography now allows even more opportunities for sharing including a webpage, blogging, and self publishing. Please check out my webpage at MarkEtterUWP.com for more UW photography.
