About the Book
Roger Dixon (1943–2018) was one of Ibiza’s emblematic artists, who took his primary inspiration from the island’s landscape.
On the island of Ibiza since 1973, Roger Dixon worked there for 45 years, nearly always taking his inspiration directly from nature, and using oil on canvas as his medium.
As a former Sannyasin of Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh, he had a strong affinity to India and its spirituality and was a lifelong proponent of meditation. He loved Asia, and he worked and traveled extensively in India and the Far East.
Hence also the title of this book. Serendipity is a term he was especially attached to as a spiritual concept that he developed into something like an art form.
This book aims to give an overview of his work and an insight in his life.
