About the Creator
Callen Harty is the author of six books, two dozen plays, more than four dozen monologues, and countless other works. His monologues for the Wisconsin Veterans Museum annual cemetery tour, Talking Spirits, won awards from the Wisconsin Historical Society and the American Association of State and Local History. His essays, articles, and poems have been published in print and online in dozens of publications and most recently in two anthologies, Hope Collected and Sheltering with Poems: Community & Connection During Covid. He also publishes regularly on his blog, "A Single Bluebird." As a photographer, Harty has had two one-man shows in Madison, Wisconsin, won the grand prize in an Animal Planet contest, and has had his work appear in several publications, including the books Wisconsin 24/7 and Unintimidated: Wisconsin Sings Truth to Power.
