This book was conceived to compliment the kindhearted and noble Harlan Verlin. It contains several original short stories written by Harlan about his personal experiences of growing up in the small town of Lebo, Kansas. Additionally, there are artistically restored photos to enrich his flair for words. Sadly, Harlan died unexpectedly from the Coronavirus Disease before he could see his tales transformed into this publication. In hindsight, I feel as though Harlan had discovered a touching way of acknowledging and saying good-bye to his loved ones and the community of Lebo. Among other things Harlan was a great storyteller and gentle human being and his memory will continue to live on within our hearts.
