About the Book
Boundless Passage is a photo zine of a trip taken in 2014 and documents the people who make and ride the timeless Indian town bicycle and its enduring spirit in the streets.
A daily mode of transport in India, the bicycle has empowered people since its introduction by the British in the late 19th century. Basic in design but boundless in spirit, the bicycle has become more than a means from getting to one place to another.
India is now the second largest producer of bicycles in the world. In just Delhi alone, 2.8 million journeys a day are made by bike.
This is a photographic journey from the bicycle workshops to the streets of India.
