About the Book
Jack Scott, from Regina, Canada, is a navigator in a Lancaster bomber during World War 2. Nothing is certain during war, and he lives in fear that each mission over Germany will be his last. Although his air crew is headed by one of the youngest Lancaster pilots in the RAF and, other than the pilot, none of them were in an airplane before the war, they fly with confidence. Jack’s family’s wish to have him come home safe and sound is an anchor for him, but when another family comes into his life, he has to consider the possibility of a different future.
