    Marshall Ragir

    Marshall Ragir was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1944. His family moved to Great Neck, New York then to Highland Park, Illinois where he went to high school. He attended the University of Wisconsin and eventually graduated with a BA from Roosebvelt University, Chicago. After a tour of duty in the Army during Viet Nam he enrolled in the motion picture graduate program at Columbia College, Chicago where he earned an MFA. He moved to Los Angeles in 1974 and continued his internationally award-winning career as a filmmaker. Ragir created many film montages for awards and variety shows during that time. In 1982 Ragir wrote and sold his first screeplay and has written for the major studios and networks. He has a daughter and son and currentlly lives in Los Angeles. At 68, Ragir took up tap dancing and continues to dance twice a week.
