About the Book
The photographs in this book were taken from the viewpoint of a service dog, Scout. A GoPro in a harness on her back was used to create photography at her eyeline. In some locations, Scout was given the freedom to lead. She was given little to no direction in which way to walk, where to stand, or what she should look at. In other locations, she was led her through the space, but she chose what to investigate. The photographs in this book are of subjects that she chose to interact with in the various places she went with her owner. In viewing this body of work, we get to shrink down and see what it’s like to walk a mile in someone else’s paws.

About the Creator
Sarah Jae is a professional photographer who was formally trained in Cleveland, Ohio. Her love for photography began in her middle school years when her sister lent her the family camera to have fun and play around with. This first camera allowed her the opportunity to test out portraiture on her close friends and family. Since her first camera, Sarah has explored a wide variety of photography genres. Some of her favorite subjects to photograph include but are not limited to dogs interacting with the world around them, small details in nature, boudoir, and candid moments she sees unfold before her.
