About the Book
I frequently take pictures of things that are curious and fascinate me. Anything from the unique interior and façade of an innovative art museum or some familiar architectural landmarks that appeared to have been lifted right out of Venice and plopped down in the middle of the city, or the rungs of a ladder leaning against a wall.
What gives these photos an added twist is flipping, reversing, and rearranging them on a page and then watching as the symmetrical patterns they create merge and melt into abstract designs.
For me, the affect is mesmerizing and reminds me of the shape-shifting designs one sees in a kaleidoscope.
This book features sites and places in Chicago that I photographed and then reimagined and also scenes photographed in Milwaukee and Las Vegas, two cities I visited a few years back.
Enjoy, enjoy.

As an artist for over forty odd years, my biggest gig so far has been as the official White House Portraitist. During the past two years, I have had the privilege of painting our DearLeader over a couple dozen times looking his authoritarian best in all kinds of remarkable settings. And now, after much anticipation, I have finally assembled those paintings into a 48 page full-color book that includes personal commentaries, as well. It has been truly an inspiration to be so close and present with the man with the golden touch, who in every sense of the phrase, is Making America Great Again.
