About the Book
I moved to Colorado from California in January 2019, and after settling in began to take regular walks around the neighborhood. Our neighborhood is part of a townhouse complex in Louisville, with abundant open space nearby that's filled with paths meant for walking, running and cycling. While on walks, I began to take photographs of the surrounding flora, because much of it was new to me. Louisville is located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, and has a character that reflects the elevation (5338' above sea level) and dryness that are part of the Rocky Mountain terrain as it begins its long continental descent to the Great Plains. This book isn't intended to identify or describe the flora, but instead shows how it thrives and changes as it cycles through the months of early spring and summer, to end in late fall.
