About the Book
But with everything in life, things have a funny way of working out.
I'm glad I left myself open to the unexpected because it has been an unbelievably soothing project.
My journey first began with an article I read about the XPan Hasselblad camera a few moons ago
and I was so mesmerized that I couldn't look away.
I had taken panoramic street photos before, but something about this aspect ratio
drew me in! Like I was a magnet, it was the most potent metal on Earth.
Every photo was like a frame of a movie scene,
I began working with my most suited photographs for this specific aspect ratio.
The analog look of the images was created by digital editing.
This enhances the cinematic look I wanted. Aren't technology grand?
Although we progress so much with technology, we always seem
to return to a look that appears simple, beautiful, and honest. Some people may ask why you can not buy
an XPan instead of recreating it digitally.
So rather than talking about the camera's cost or sustainability,
I'll talk about what's significant to me.
It was comforting to me during a particularly gloomy time in my life. That's more than enough for me.
As a result of this, I am delighted to be able to share with you my entire visual journey.
Which started with a fascinating article which I stumbled upon a few months ago.
