About the Book
This engaging, "Coming of Age" tale of a young man growing up in small town southern Oregon is at once an individual's story, and a statement of a generation with universal themes and applications. Donald Witten's book captures the simplicity of the times, yet includes the complexity of the emotional landscape of a young man seeking answers in a sometimes harsh world. In the end, Witten's book encourages all of us to tell our stories, stories which may seem inconsequential, but when told with detail and passion, reveal how our combined stories create the persons we ultimately become. Storyteller will appeal to those of us of that "vintage," as well as young people now living their own stories about finding truth in today's world.

About the Creator
Donald Witten
Perrydale, OR, USA
I am a retired high school English teacher, and former head girls' basketball coach at a small school in southern Oregon. I have lived for 35 years on a 30-plus acre farm in Oregon's Willamette Valley with my wife Jody. My memoir/poetry collection in The Big Picture Journal: A Song of Wind and Wolves, is my first published work. When I am not writing, I enjoy gardening and small building projects on the farm. My writing goal now is to publish something - memoir, poetry, essay collection - every year. My hope is that you will find my writing entertaining, mildly humorous, thought-provoking, or otherwise plain old weird. Thanks for visiting my site!
