About the Book
Thomas Dew is purported to be the father of a line of John Dews in Virginia and North Carolina, but the evidence for this is very weak. Thomas Dew arrived in the Virginia colony after several years as a planter on Bermuda and on Association Island. He later became a member of the House of Burgesses.
