About the Book
The photographer, a serving British Army Officer, shares a few moments of beauty from his 6 month deployment in the capital of one of the most ravaged nations in the world.
Mogadishu and Somalia in general are rarely first named when people are asked to name beauty spots around the world. More commonly known for pirates, terrorists, Improvised Explosive Devices and crippling poverty and strife, this is a land with intense splendour which has been marred by decades of strife. One can only hope that in time, the beauty of the land will be able to be seen more widely.
