About the Book
In May 2024, the author attempts to portray Leicester as experienced by him during a university exchange in the autumn of 2022. Besides the land, the city, and its people, this report also touches on personal experiences during that period.
The Parallel Report will be published three times a year and will report on various topics related to exploration. Two key goals are to be achieved through the use of text and photography. First, both the reader and the author will expand their horizons, learning new things and cultivating an understanding of man's simultaneous greatness and nothingness in the face of the Universe. Second, The Parallel Report seeks to inspire a spirit of exploration and participation in Life, rather than the mere observation of it.

About the Creator
Mathias Buytaert
Belgium
I am a European photographer pursuing an MSc in Business Engineering at the KU Leuven, with a never-ending desire for more. I started my journey into photography at the end of 2019, driven by a desire to capture and share the beauty of the world with others. As an aspiring artist and explorer, my goal is to inform and educate others with new perspectives on our vast world, to stop and think, and to learn about it myself along the way.
