About the Book
Mike became unwillingly embroiled in Cold War espionage activities in South East Asia. Russian secret service agents from the GRU Soviet Military Intelligence, which effectively owned and operated Aeroflot Soviet Airlines, drugged him, programmed him and turned him into a ‘Sleeper’ terrorist who could be ‘activated’ to carry out a lethal mass-attack at a moment of their choosing. Fortunately for his potential victims, British authorities in Hong Kong arrested Mike before he could unleash any serious violence other than to throw a man off a ferry; unfortunately for him, they interrogated him with a truth drug, charged him with assault and had him detained indefinitely in the maximum-security wing of a hospital for the criminally insane. Hospital psychiatrists diagnosed a serious mental illness and kept him under control with tranquillisers.
