About the Book
“Madrid, Urban Matadors” was a journey to merge the ancient and the contemporary, to bring the
spirit of the bullfight out of the arena and onto the urban stage.
I wanted to juxtapose the elegance and tradition of the corrida with the raw energy of Madrid’s streets—where modern life often moves too fast to notice echoes of the past.
By blending street photography with the symbolism of the bullfight, I aimed to create a visual dialogue about tradition’s place in our world. Capturing moments where the matador and bull appear amidst everyday life, I sought to
reveal the unnoticed beauty,
tension, and grace that still exist beneath the city’s hurried surface.
Each image is a reminder: that
history, though it fades, still leaves its mark on the present, and that the stories of the past can still dance through our modern streets.
