'exotica -exotica N O I R' : is a 40 page, full colour documentation of the artwork on display at the solo exhibition of artist Jennie Castle, at artSPACE, Berlin : The exhibition is a sensory exhibition of things that the artist found to be ‘curiously unusual or excitingly strange’ with roots in the African continent. The artwork progresses from fresh, light and coloured, to scented, dark and ‘noir’ and reflects a transition of the artist’s work from 2005 to 2010.
