I lived in the USA for many years and my escape was like a jailbreak. I go back every so often and nothing has changed, if anything it is getting worse. In some ways I feel sorry for Americans, their lack of knowledge, their acceptance of everything that is dished out to them by their government and their total ignorance of everything that is going on in the rest of the world. They really do believe that the rest of the world is far worse of than they are, and that we should all be grateful for their intervening even when it is not wanted. Work three jobs and get no healthcare and you are living the American dream. To sum up my perception of the USA over many years. Three words come to mind. Arrogance, ignorance and vanity. Let this book be the judge.
