This book is a collection of the portraits taken by Tom over a period of four years. Tom has a knack of engaging his subjects, coaxing them to let bits of their personality show through. His people don't stare blankly into space, or look away. They readily interact with the viewer, almost like a new, intriguing friend at a cocktail party. The viewer can easily imagine what a conversation might be like with each subject.
