About the Book
A collection of small scale gouache paintings created from 2008-2010, including landscape, still life and floral subjects.
A new downsized life sometimes requires a new medium. In 2008, after some 25 years of working in pastels, I took up painting in gouache. Here you can see some of my 2.5" x 3.5" paintings.

Who am I? Well, an artist, yes, and a writer, it's true. But far more importantly I'm a follower of Christ. The roles of believer, as well as daughter, wife, and mom, have been the most formative ones in my life. However, I take joy from painting, which is something I know and do well. I spent 25 years using soft pastels, and now I'm crazy about gouache. I used to paint large works, and now I'm having a ball painting tiny little things. Retired now, I've been a professional artist, arts writer (The Pastel Journal, Artist's Magazine, Watercolor Artist), and painting instructor.
