About the Book
March 16, 2006. On this date, my father, Dick Stolly, penned the words written in chapter 16. The short story was found after his death and it quickly consumed my thoughts as to why he wrote it and the inspiration behind it. Catholic education was very important to him and it is with his connection to me that I wrote the first 15 chapters. Illusion is set in the historic town of Belleville, Mass. The Catholic High School, St. Hilda is at the center of a series of twisted fate of events guiding good Catholic folks making them think and rethink their faith all at the hands of high school sports. The draped in tradition school is led by hardworking volunteers who would do anything for their beloved school while facing declining enrollment and decisions out of their control. This growing problem forces good Catholics to make hard decisions but based on what?

About the Creator
I am the fifth of six kids born to Richard and Joan (Williams) Stolly. My husband Mike and I have four children. It has been my dream to publish a book inspired by my dad on the wonderful Little Man stories he used to tell me when I was young. After retelling those stories and then creating my own, I finally sat down and wrote a new tale based in 2008. I hope you enjoy the book which is the first I hope in a series to be read by my grandchildren and continued to be passed on.
