About the Book
Samburu is a very special place and the people involeved make a huge contribution to Elephant conservation. This is our story of our wonderful trip to Samburu, with the amazing sightings and most fantastic hospitality it is somewhere we would recommend to everyone. Located in Samburu National Park, on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiru river, and owned and run by Iain and Oria Douglas-Hamilton, Elephant Watch Camp is both an eco-lodge of the highest order and the place for anything to do with learning about elephants. In this time when the Asian market fuels the mass poaching and slaugter of elephants it is a place one should visit to support the efforts to stop the killings - but also before it is too late and all wild elephants are ivory trinkets in Asia.
