About the Book
Steve Weileman, a professional guide since 2000 as well as award winning filmmaker, has led clients in the outdoors from the fjords of Newfoundland to the chilly waters of Alaska. Recently he has channeled his love for the outdoors through his camera. In “The Forgotten Shore” he chronicles his recent trip to the southern waters of Cook Inlet, Alaska and the historic Snug Harbor Cannery.

About the Creator
Steve is certified with the American Canoe Association as an ACA Open Coastal Instructor , the BCU (British Canoe Union) as a 5 Star Sea- Kayaker trainee, the WMI (Wilderness Medical Institute) as a Wilderness First Responder, and LNT (Leave No Trace) as a LNT Trainer. In addition to guiding, Steve has developed a love of film making and is in charge of producing many of the productions to be found in our the media center. His explorations have taken him to the Queen Charlotte Islands, the west coast of Vancouver Island, Washington’s coast, SE Alaska and as well as the south coast of Newfoundland.
