About the Book
This photo-essay documents a 2010 trip to southern Africa by five Northern California (wine country) women for, among other things, wine-tasting and safaris. We dubbed ourselves Winos to Rhinos. The book is organized as an abecedarium (alphabet book) and shows through stunning photographs the history, culture, geography, flora and fauna of South Africa, with glimpses of Botswana (Chobe National Park) and Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls).
