When my daughter Lexie was about 4 1/2 she asked me to tell her the "Mommy & Lexie Story." She's always known she was adopted and will proudly tell you she was born in Aktau Kazakhstan. But she'd never asked a lot of questions until my sister gave birth to twins. That's when Lexie asked for her story. It started rather simple but being a very curious, detail oriented child she asked more and more questions. Then she wanted to "help" tell it. Finally it grew into this story which she asks for almost every night. So I've made it into a book and will give her a copy for her 5th birthday.
