About the Book
These photographs have been described as an attempt to make the mundane aspects of everyday life more visually interesting, exciting and beautiful, but to me there is no mundane. There are no aspects of life, today, yesterday or any other day that are not just as beautiful or thrilling as all the others. These diptychs are a documentation of the unappreciated, often ignored, pieces of life that surround us. No matter the viewpoint of my camera, the type of light or the selected framing of the scene, these photographs depict the remarkable in the otherwise overlooked.
This book is an effort to keep my personal view of the world in check, and to make sure I do not lose sight of what is truly important.
