About the Book
This version 1.b includes minor typographical corrections. The book is about people and their crafts. Some of the photographs date from 1979. It was then that Garland and Jean purchased an old Victorian-era farmhouse that became Country Cables. Their work in restoring and adding onto that home is illustrated in the Foreword, which also provides a brief overview of the history of the property. The focus of this book, however, is a year-long process that began in the winter of 2008 when Gregg Montgomery began to work with Garland and Jean to design a new home on property just west of Little Eagle Creek. Many construction highlights are shown in the next section which concludes shortly after Garland and Jean moved into their new home on December 23, 2008, to welcome Erin and Austin for Christmas. The second section is entitled The Beginning.
