About the Book
Representing 20 years of astronomical photography, this is a collection of some of my most interesting images. These photos were taken with everything from conventional camera lenses to observatory telescopes. Both film and scientific grade CCD cameras specially designed for astronomical imaging were used. The photos were taken from the US and Australia.
The book begins in the solar system, progresses out into our galaxy and then into deep space. There are images of everything from the Earth, Moon and Sun to nebulae, comets and supernovae. In addition, I have included photos of some previously unknown dust nebulae I discovered. The final chapter contains images of galaxies, some of them over 150 million light years distant. I have also included information on how the images were taken and some photos of my observatories in California and New Mexico.
Finally, I have included my contact informaiton in case you have any comments or questions. My web site is: www.galaxyimages.com.
