About the Book
In Uluru to Kangaroo, Margaret and Brian Walters travel from western Sydney to Australia's Red Centre. On the way they explore outback New South Wales and South Australia and fly from Coober Pedy to view Lake Eyre and the Painted Hills from the air. On the return journey, and as a complete contrast, they travel south to Kangaroo Island before heading home through south-western New South Wales.
This book is a photographic record of that four and a half week journey during which Margaret and Brian covered over 9,000 kilometres in their aging Magna station wagon (which, thankfully, delayed its major breakdown until a few days after they returned home).
The text in the book is based on a 'blog' that was maintained during the trip and uploaded wherever wireless internet was available.
