We proudly present PHOTOBOOK Cali, the second installment of PHOTOBOOK projects presented by Photo District News and Blurb.

We put out a call for the best images one could capture up and down the Golden State and received a spectacular tribute to one of the world’s most iconic locations. From the City of Angels to the Bay Area, through the deserts and into to the wild surf, our 36 winners presented all that draws us west and captures the dreams and pioneering spirit that California embodies.

We gratefully acknowledge our panel of expert judges: Nan Oshin, creative director and design consultant and former photo editor of the LA Times Magazine, Dennis Keeley, chair of Photography and Imaging at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, and Damon Webster, California-based owner of Photoinduced LLC, an online resource for photography-related information and reviews.

PHOTOBOOK Cali was edited and designed by PDN Custom Media & Events staffers John Gimenez and Moneer Masih-Tehrani, and was made possible by Lauren Wendle, vice president and group publisher, Keith Cotlier, general manager of Contest Technology, and Blurb.
