About the Book
In this retrospective, Gordon presents some of his best photographic work along with some of his favorite photographs. An essay or explanation sometimes accompanies the photographs, especially his sentimental favorites.
The settings are usually, but not always, south Mississippi and south Louisiana where Gordon lives. Most photos were taken between 1970 and 2007. His wide variety of subjects include landscapes, beaches, sunsets, still life, and a few portraits. Gordon used techniques ranging from basic black-and-white film photography to High Dynamic Range digital processing.
Gordon has a blog, http://lightdescription.blogspot.com and some of the photos and essays were featured in his blog.
