About the Creator
I am an Italian born, Australian designer, author, photographer and artist. As well as designing my own books, I design books for others. My enduring interest is photographic autobiography, not simply in the form of self-portraits, but as more widely expressed in all activities of a lived life. My work privileges the visual over the textual because I believe that images speak to us in important and different ways than words. Western culture, on the other hand, tends to privilege text. The aphorism ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’, could here be more usefully reframed as ‘a picture can show us uniquely what one thousand words can’t’.
