About the Book
These series of Photographs represent three summers that I lived with the Maasai, who accepted me as a White Ilmurran. Spending my days walking in the hills around Orkiu, a small Maasai village near Loliondo, in the Maasai Mara, Northern Tanzania, some of my favourite moments were when we sat in the hills over looking the Serengeti plains and the young Ilmurrani would compete in spear throwing, while I took photographs with my Polaroid camera and showed them their first ever photographs of themselves.
