About the Book
American Dreaming is a meditation and an exploration of traditional American landscapes. Echoes of the romantic tradition of photography whereas the beauty of nature becomes a transformational state; color, patterns and shapes become experiences that are analogous to another gateway, like the language of music; rhythm, tone and tempo. Classical composers like Ludwig van Beethoven, JS Bach and Ralph Vaughan Williams are few who understood this transformational relationship with nature and who were inspired by the beauty of the natural world in their own compositions. The book design is simple with bookend quotations from Ludwig van Beethoven; Observations of transcendental beauty of nature and the muse of the human spirit. What I call American Dreaming.
