About the Book
This is a monograph of the artist/printmaker Aine Scannell. The pieces featured are mainly from 2005 - the present. Some of the works have been especially created for this book. Her pieces are mainly "one offs", as creating editions is of no interest. The momentum is rather, in seeking expression to what it is, to be human. Finding the graphical means, to somehow express those fleeting moments, our affinities with other beings and our relationship with ourselves.
Aine is originally from Ireland and spent her formative years as a fine artist in London. She is an International award winning artist - and has widely exhibited internationally - most recently in Krakow, China and Lithuania.
