    About the Book

    Edit

A spare, poetic fable, about life, death, lonliness, love, and eternity, this book is unlike anything you have encountered before. Beautiful sepia and ink paintings, and simple, evocative, child-like verses tell the story of a stone who is carved out of the side of a mountain, and planted on the top of a windswept hill, for reasons that he cannot fathom. As the years go by, he longs for a companion...and finally, his prayers are answered. A funny, mournful, and profound book, for all ages.
