About the Book
A collection of figurative works of art from 2008 to 2010 that was created by merging photography and drawing mediums.
“During the period of time when these works were created I had the San Vicente Studio which was set up as a street level photography, painting and drawing studio located in the heart of Los Angeles. The photographs were all taken in a photo studio environment with strobe lighting. At this moment I was inspired by traditional ink wash painting techniques from Asia due to their subtle beauty and resemblance with the meditative flow dynamic drawing exercises I was developing. Therefore this body of work has a unique feel and quality due to the noted influences of this time.”
Gregory Beylerian is an award winning and published artist whose work has been exhibited in galleries and museums internationally.
