About the Book
Finding Nevada City for Dave was like many other local stories you hear. He came to visit and never left. The Nevada City community was the main attraction at first, then he found "the River". The Yuba quickly became Dave's place to relax and reenergize. The river's smooth granite boulders and crystal clear water captured his heart while also pleasing his artistic eye. He now uses his photography skills to capture all the river's splendor.
Dave grew up loving water- lakes, rivers, pools and both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. At the age of 6, his Dad taught him how to survive body surfing in the cold Pacific Ocean waves. This was the start of his appreciation and love for the movement of water. Now Dave spends his day combining his love of the water with his passion for photography. He has been capturing Northern California beauty for over 15 years.
