About the Creator
Since retiring from the US Army in 2003, Colonel (Ret) Birmingham worked as an aerospace executive until retiring in June 2019. During his 16 years since Army retirement, he co-founded a B2B business that grew to $800M in sales before being acquired, was the President of L3 Technologies Link Simulation and Training In Arlington TX and was the Company lead executive in Huntsville AL. He now works as an independent consultant. He also served as a consultant to the Army Science Board and was President of the Army Aviation Association of America’s Scholarship Foundation. Upon graduation from the Military Academy at West Point, he was commissioned in the Transportation Corps and later became an Army aviator. He earned Masters Degrees from Boston University and the U.S. Naval War College and also attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University as a National Security Fellow.
