About the Book
This book is a collection of photographs of landscapes, birds, and wildlife, all made during the last three summers (2010- 2013), at the Shiawasse National Wildlife Refuge, located south of Saginaw, Michigan. The images are not merely records of fact, but an attempt to capture the feelings of what it means to feel the wind, and experience the joy of discovering each wild creature and its beautiful habitat. It is a call to conservation and hope to encourage others to reconnect with the natural world.
